Prussian Garde Felt "Ersazt" Artillery Pickelhaube
Genuine Vet bring back from WWI.
Prussian Guard Artillery Enlisted Man green felt ersatz helmet circa 1914. From a prestigous US collection. Green pressed felt helmet body with brass metal trim. Helmet body has excellent form. Exterior felt in perfect shape. No extra holes in the helmet body. The frontplate is the brass Prussian Guard Regiments eagle, held by the two original leather wedges. The eagle fits securely to the helmet shell.
Enlisted style non-removable ball top. Round base with split brad retainers. The interior has a thick black leather EM style lining. Black ink marking inside right side of back visor but are not legible Handwritten soldier name on left side of back visor. Original leather chinstrap and both cockades. Genuine Vet bring back from WWI. Fine example of an early wartime felt ersatz helmet.
