Württemberg Field Artillery Enlisted Pickelhaube

Wurttemberg Field Artillery Enlisted Man for Line Regiments Model 1891. This is possibly a private purchase helmet. Beautiful black lacquered helmet body with gold/brass trim. Helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching to back visor. Exterior lacquer has very good finish but there are several scratches to lacquer finish (see photos). Frontplate is the Wurttemberg crest, held by the two screw posts. No extra holes. The Wurttemberg crest fits the helmet shell like a glove. Enlisted style artillery ball top. Round base with split brad retainers. Balltop does not unscrew. Field Artillery type back spine with no ventilation slide/hole. Interior has tan leather lining with 9 flaps in near unworn condition. Rounded M1891 style chinscales on posts over a set of EM style Reich and Prussian cockades. Over all outstanding helmet.
