Prussian Hussar NCO or Private Purchase Busby with Case

MODEL 1895 PREUßEN HUSAREN MANNSCHAFTEN (OTHER RANKS) PELZMÜTZE (BUSBY)

This Hussar Busby can be for the different regiments of Nr 3, 5, 11, 13, 14 . The Pelzmütze is made from black-dyed seal hair and remains in excellent to near mint condition.

Fire Gilt chinscales and rosettes are correctly curved for Mounted-Troops .  The silver "Fatherland" Bandeau (ribbon) is in superb condition with fine pebbling and razor sharp details to the lettering, secured inside by two split brads. It carries the standard 1860 motto "MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND" (With God For King And Fatherland). This Bandeau was used by 8 different Husaren Regiments.

The red coloured Kolpak (wool bag) which hangs on the left side of the Pelzmütze was worn by the different 5 Husaren Regts. The Fangschnur (securing cord) is correctly attached and looped with a toggle. Original NCO cotton Feldzeichen.

The liner is of the officers type and particular beautiful manufacture with Red calfskin and Red silk inside. Note that on the front some tears top the silf otherwise near perfect. This unique pattern of liner was used for officers or Eigenthums Busbys of private purchase. Almost no hair loss. Very beautiful hussar with original accessories.

Original Carrying case in black cardboard with yellow cotton lining in excellent condition. One little miss to a leather holding strap.
