Saxon Field Artillery Reserve Officer Pickelhaube - with Case

Beautiful fining - hard to upgrade.

Saxon Field Artillery ( Regiments 12, 28, 32, 48,64, 68 and 77) Reserve Officer Model 1897. Black fiber helmet body with fine fire gilded trim. Helmet is untouched and has never been cleaned. Body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer in excellent to mint condition. No extra holes in helmet body. Soft sweat leather helmet lining with extra fine grey silk headliner in near mint condition. Claf skin lining stamped with "Depaheg Patent".

Front visor in the typical half rounded "Saxon" shape. Inside visors are colored red and green. Beautiful gilt  Saxon Star with silver reserve cross underneath. Plate is fixed to helmet with split brads that have never been opened. Elegant elongated artillery ball and base with gold stars at base. Convex gold chinscales with gold rosettes. Saxon style non-serrated Reichs and Saxon officer style cockades. Beautiful and outstanding looking helmet in near mint condition. Came in its original carrying case (see pictures)
