Prussian General Officer Pickelhaube with Original Federbush

Prussian General Officer with black and white feathered Parade Plume -Model 1897. Recently acquired from a major collection in Europe. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded brass trim. Helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. The exterior lacquer is in perfect condition with bright finish and only minor crazing. Helmet interior has mint leather sweatband and light colored silk headliner. Inner visors are colored red and green.
The frontplate is a finely fire gilded wide winged Prussian Guards Eagle with a silver Black Eagle Order on the Eagle’s breast. The black eagle order is in "unworn' condition as it show some of the original cardboard protection over the white enamel between the gilt "SUMM CUIQUE" and the enamel! Crossed spike base that is held to the leather body with large gold star retainers. Instead of spike, this helmet has a large fluted plume Trichter mounted on the cross base. The black and white cock feathered plume is of the better quality type "Einmal Gestückten Echten Ober-Ferdern" and in mint condition. Rounded chinscales on rosettes with officers Reich and Prussian cockades. Amazing Generals piece that is in near perfect condition. The collector will never find a better piece.
