Baden 110th Infantry, Model 1915 Enlisted Pickelhaube with Cover
Very RARE Ensemble.
Baden 110th Infantry Regiment Enlisted Man Model 1915 with matching 1915 green "110" numbered field cover. This is a genuine ”Doughboy War Souvenir” find. Fine black lacquered leather body with grey trim. Body overall in "Salty" condition but has good form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer uneven but with no lacquer loss. No extra holes in the helmet body. Full EM style leather liner in good condition. The helmet is marked inside back visor with marks "I.R. 110" and "1916".
The frontplate is the standard Baden line frontplate that is held to the helmet body with original leather wedges. Grey Wartime trim with removable M1915 spike top. Base retained by 4 round brads. Original leather chinstrap. Original Reichs and Baden cockades. Included is the RARE form fitted green cloth helmet cover with the green ink numbers "110". Great WWI era helmet and numbered field cover. The cover is in excellent condition. Very RARE find in todays helmet collecting marketplace.
