Württemberg 26th Dragoon Officers Pickelhaube

Wurttemberg 26th Dragoon Regiment (Kings Dragoon Regiment - 2nd Wurttemberg - Stuttgart / Cannstatt) Officer Model 1897 after 1905.  From the Rich Ames collection.  Fine leather helmet body with squared front visor and silver metal trim. Black lacquered leather helmet body with frosted silver trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is in excellent shape and retains shiny finish. There are no extra holes in helmet body. The helmet interior has excellent conditioned sweat leather and silk headliner. 

The helmet has a silver crossed spike base with officer pearl/diamond ornamentation at base of spike.  Smooth removable spike.  Large gold stars retain cross base to helmet. The Frontplate is the post-1905 silver Wurttemberg Crest with a silver star centered by an enameled Wurttemberg star. Enamel in excellent condition. Original convex rounded gilded chinscales with a silver officer rosette.  Original officers Reich and Wurttemberg cockades.  This helmet is all original and has not been polished.  Beautiful and rare regimental helmet.
