Bavarian Shako for Telegrapher, Kraftfahr, Eisenbahn, or Flieger Battalions, Enlisted Man - Model 1897. Black lacquered leather shako with silver metal trim. The helmet body is in very fine condition with good form and firm stitching. The exterior. No extra holes in the helmet body. The helmet interior has standard black dyed leather EM style liner.

Marked inside helmet body with makers stamp and "A.K.1" for the 1st Army Corp. This means that this shako is for all the units listed above as each of them was from the exclusive 1st Army Corp AK. The frontplate is the standard Bavarian style in German silver fixed with leather wedges. This helmet does not have chinstrap or single Reichs cockade. Cloth field badge with white body and blue center is a reproduction. Extremely rare Shako from rare units.
