Prussian Model 1916 Wartime Artillery Officer Pickelhaube

Black lacquered leather helmet body in absolute Perfect/Mint condition. Both visors lined red and green with firm stitching. All trim in matching frosted gold. The front plate is the Prussian eagle with teh Vaterland bandeau. Frontplate secured to helmet with two screws and nuts. No extra holes, but one slightly enlarged underneath. Plate is a perfect fit we did not want to remove.

The Balltop also in gold screws off at the base with a bayonet type lung (M1916), and base is retained to helmet body with 4 stars attached with nuts. Beautiful frosted perlring. gold frosted convex chinscales of the M16 pattern attached over m1891 lugs. Officers Reichs and Baden Cockades.

Inside lining in calfskin and brown silk also in mint/untouched condition with one small square inch patch repair to the back (see photos). A wonderful helmet impossible to upgrade. RARE in this condition.
