Prussian Enlisted 6th Uhlan Tschapka
Woodwork find. Beautiful Markings
Black laquered leather body in good shape and firm stitching to visor. Some mild crazing and age to lacquer but otherwise excellent overall condition and form. The frontplate is the silver smaller version of the Prussian Line Eagle for Tschapkas maintained to helmet by two leather wedges through the grometted holes. No extra holes.
A set of original convex M1891 chinscales overs M91 posts and one Reichs Cockade (note: one scales missing). Feldzeichen is well made but appears to be an older copy. Inside lining complete and supple with some beautiful markings to "TUR6" (Thüringisches Regiment 6), Dated "1909" and reissued in "1911". "3.E." (3rd esquadron). Also has the makers stamp of "Julius Jansen in Strassbourg". This Regiment was stationed in Hanau Germany.
