Prussian Artillery Enlisted Pickelhaube with Field Cover

Prussian Artillery Regiment Enlisted Man Model 1895 with Field Cover. From and old collection. Beautiful black lacquered leather helmet body with brass trim. The helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is flawless and in excellent condition. The interior of the helmet has standard leather leather tongued headliner. The headliner shows age and wear but is complete and the leather is still supple. The inner visors of helmet have no legible markings. No extra holes in the helmet body. The front plate is the standard Prussian Line Regiments heraldic eagle. The frontplate is held to the helmet by loops on the back of the plate and leather wedges.

Enlisted style base with ball attachment that is not removable. The top is held to helmet body with domed retainers. Original leather chinstrap fitted over M91 sidelugs.Original stamped Reichs and Prussian cockades. This helmet is 100% original and untouched. Grouping includes a mint EM style field cover (see Photos) that is secured to the helmet body with 3 metal hooks in front and 2 in back. The cloth is a fine cloth with soft divergent colors ( see close up photos). The ball top bag has leather padding inside top of bag. It is very rare to find such a complete grouping in today's marketplace.
