Prussian 8th Grenadier Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian Leib Grenadier Regiment Nr. 8 - King Fredrich Wilhelm III - 1st Brandenburg Regiment from Frankfurt on the Oder -Officer - Model 1897 in the form used after 1913. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. The interior has sweat leather and silk headliner. Interior visors colored read and green.

The frontplate is the new pattern Grenadier plate in the form of a wide winged Eagle without Guard Star. Round spike base with Officer pearl ring and removable spike. Flat chinscales with the special rosette monogram "FWR III" of King Fredrich Wilhelm III. This unique rosette was only used by this regiment. Officer style Reich and Prussian cockades. Very rare regimental helmet as this helmet was only used for ONE YEAR before the start of WWI IN 1914. An original helmet like this one is seldom found in the collector marketplace. 100% original and untouched piece. This helmet has never been cleaned.
