Prussian 6th Kürassier Officers Kürass - Attic found. RARE

This is the latest, smaller and more elegant type.

Elegant Prussian Officer's Kurass for Garde du Corps, Garde Kürassier or most likely the 6th Kürassier Regiment. Ultra light construction that was used for Parade Dress purposes. Front and back plate in tombac with German silver decorated edges. No lining besides the rims. Overall condition is tarnished with oxidation stains from longer periods of storage with NO dents of other issues besides the oxidation. Both front and back plates have not been polished or restored to their original shine.

The Gilded brass scaled straps have kept their initial patina as well. Both mounted on the original leather backings. held on the typical lion head mounts of the back plate. Scales can be easily dismounted by a single lug holding them to th eback plate. The brass finial with decorated aok leaves, and leather piece are also present. A fantastic and beautiful ensemble that is rarely found as an "Attic" find and left uncleaned. These Kurasses are usually found and fitted for "Big Dudes"....this one is really classy!
