Prussian/Hanoverian "Waterloo" Infantry Officer Pickelhaube

Beautiful ALL ORIGINAL helmet.

Prussian Hannovarian 74,76,77 & 164, 165th Infantry Regiments - Officer - Model 1897. From a prestigious collection in the US. Black lacquered leather helmet with fire gilt trim. Helmet body has fine form. Exterior lacquer is in excelllent condition with no lacquer loss. No extra holes in helmet body. Officer style Prussian line eagle with fine fire gilt frosted finish and battle honor banners “Waterloo”. Eagle has pierced style Officer crown.

The "Waterloo" Regiments fought as The Kings German Legion for the British Crown during the Napoleonic Wars of the early 1800’s. Fire gilded Officer style spike and base that is held to body with 4 stars. Interior of helmet has Officer style sweat leather and green silk headliner in near MINT condition. Inside helmet body is a hand written name (see Photos). Inner visors are colored red and green as proper for Officer helmet.

Flat gilded chinscales on rosettes. Two-Piece Reichs and Prussian Officer cockades. Helmet has not been cleaned or polished. Beautiful ALL ORIGINAL helmet from an elite regiment in EXCELLENT condition.
