Bavarian Silver Chevau-Leger Officers Pickelhaube with Haarbush

Bavarian Chevau-leger (Light Cavalry) Regiments 2,4,6 and 8 - Officer Model with white Yak hair parade plume – Model 1897. Fine leather helmet body and with squared front visor and silver metal trim. Black lacquered leather helmet body with frosted silver trim. No extra holes in helmet body. Helmet exterior lacquer in excellent condition. The helmet interior has near mint sweat leather and silk headliner.

The helmet has a silver crossed spike base with officer pearl/diamond ornamentation at base of spike. Fluted and extra tall removable plume that is mounted with a fine Yak hair parade plume. Large sliver stars retain cross base to helmet. The Frontplate is the large silver Bavarian crest. The frontplate is beautifully frosted. Original set of convex rounded silver chinscales with a silver officer rosette. Original officers Reichs and Bavarian cockades. Beautiful and impressive helmet.
