Rare and Outstanding 13th Hanoverian Uhlan

Hanoverian 13th Uhlan Regiment - Reserve Officers Tschapka circa 1900. Recently obtained from an old US collection. Black lacquered leather body with silver metal trim. The helmet has perfect form with all leather mortar board and proper turned down front visor. Visor stitching also in perfect condition. The exterior lacquer is in excellent condition and still has nice sheen. No extra holes in the helmet body. Black leather mortar board is in perfect condition and has proper officer hook for parade cords.

The helmet interior has sweat leather and beige silk headliner that shows wear. The front plate is the silver metal Prussian wide winged Guard Eagle Officer Eagle with Guard Star but without the "Gott mit Koenig..." banner. The frontplate has the battle honors bandeau "Peninsula-Waterloo-Garz Hernandez" for this regiments service as members of the British Kings German Legion are on the front of the eagle. On the eagle's tail there is a gold Prussian Landwehr cross.

Original rounded gold chinscales with silver rosettes and original Reichs officer cockade. The helmet does has the silver bullion with black center field badge. The helmet is presented in the “Service (Dienst) Form without rabatte or cords. Rare elite regiment service dress reserve officers tschapka.
