Oldenburg 19th Dragoon Officer Pickelhaube

Oldenburg 19th Dragoon Regiment Officer Model 1899. From a prestigious US collection. Fine leather helmet body with squared front visor and silver metal trim. Black lacquered leather helmet body with fine exterior lacquer and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. The helmet interior has fine sweat leather and silk headliner. The helmet has a silver crossed spike base with officer pearl/diamond ornamentation at base of spike.

Smooth removable spike. Large gold stars retain cross base to helmet. The frontplate is the post-January 24, 1899 Prussian Officer Dragoon Eagle with pierced crown on which is placed a gold star and the silver Heraldic Arms of Oldenburg. Original convex rounded gold chinscales with a silver officer rosette. Original officers Reich and Oldenburg officer cockades. Rare Dragoon Regiment in near mint condition.
