Original and rare wartime Ersatz helmet.
Prussian Line Infantry Enlisted Man - Green Painted Stamped Metal Ersatz helmet circa 1914. From a prestigious US Collection. Thin stamped metal helmet brass metal trim that is painted green. Standard ersatz type of 1914 that is oftentimes seen in period photos of the Battle of Tannenburg in August 1914. Complete with ersatz leather liner. Missing chinstrap but has original Reichs and Prussian EM cockades. Helmet in excellent condition No dents or rusting noted. Original and rare wartime Ersatz helmet.
