Prussian 1st Garde Uhlan "Private Purchase" Tschapka to Parade
Full Officers Grade Tschapka - Mint condition
Black lacquered leather officers type body in MINT shape with firm stitching to visor. Mortar board sits perfectly with no creases etc.... Prussian Large winged and silver frosted officers Garde Eagle with the Silver NCO type Star of the order of the Black Eagle -Original silvering remains close to 100%. Plate sits perfectly with deep marks in the helmet shell as can be seen on the pictures. NO extra holes of course.
Beautiful white Parade Rabatte with white cords that fits perfectly to the mortar board (note the back hook is slitghtly loose with age). Prussian "mannschafts" type Feldzeichen. Rounded gold chinscales maintained by split rosettes with one officers type Reich Cockade. The inside has the fancy Officers type lining with brown calfskin and beige silk in excellent condition beside a few tears towards the front. Officers bullion cords complete this ensemble in perfect condition but shorter then usual.
Note that cords and Tschapka all came from the same provenance...we will sell as it came. This Tschapka is of full officers grade, the only thing the NCO had to do if/when enlisting into the Officers Corps was to change the Star to the enameled model and upgrade the Feldzeichen and Rabatte. Probably one of the nicest Tschapkas we have ever offered. A RARE and unique Regiment.... A keeper!
