Württemberg 20th Uhlan Regiment Officers Tschapka
With Parade Rabatte - Rare
Wurttemberg 20th Officers Tschapka with field badge and parade Rabatte circa 1900. Beautiful black lacquered leather body with silver frontplate and gold chinscales. The helmet has excellent form with all leather mortar board and proper turned down front visor. Visor stitching in firm condition. The exterior lacquer is in excellent condition and still has nice sheen. No extra holes in the helmet body as the front plate is literally stuck through two tiny holes. We cannot remove it without risking to damage the lacker.
Black leather mortar board is in mint condition and has proper officer hook for parade cords. The helmet interior has normal sweat leather and beige silk headliner in about MINT condition.
The silver front plate is the small Uhlan sized Wurttemberg coat of arms left in Uncleaned state. The silver has blackened/tarnished with age and we left is as found. Original rounded gold chinscales and original Reichs officer cockade. The field badge is made of silver bullion cording with black edging and red center. This ensemble is in amazing condition. All original, untouched and in excellent plus to near mint condition. Rare find in today's marketplace.
