Prussian Train Officers Pickelhaube with Haarbush

Prussian Train Regiment, Officer Model 1897 Officers Helmet. The helmet is fitted with black hair parade plume. Black lacquered leather helmet body with near MINT fire gilt trim. The helmet body in perfect condition with firm stitching. Remains of the "talky" whitish look sought after by advanced collectors. Lacquer in perfect condition with a bright finish and no lacquer loss - some minor age crazing. The helmet body has NO extra holes. The inside lining is firmly attached and tight, we didn't want to widen it for picture taking...no need. All clean inside!

The helmet interior has standard sweat leather and silk headliner. The liner is in mint condition. Inner visors colored red and green as is proper for an officer helmet. Round spike base with star retainers. The tall gilt plume trichter is removable. The frontplate in the Prussian Line Officers Eagle. Convex gilt chinscales on rosettes. Original Reichs and Prussian Officer cockades. Absolutely 100% original helmet from an old collection. Near mint condition.
