Prussian 2nd Uhlan Regiment (von Katzler - Schlesian Uhlan Regiment established 1745) Reserve Officer to Full Parade - Model 1897. From the Rich Ames Collection. Beautiful and tall all leather helmet body with gilded brass metal trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Tall leather covered mortarboard with metal cord hook. No extra holes in the helmet body. The helmet interior has officer style sweat leather and silk headliner.
The frontplate is the Prussian Line Eagle without banner. The FWR monogram is in the center of the Eagles chest. A silver Prussian Reserve Cross is affixed below the monogram. Rounded Officer chinscales with brass rosettes. Officer style 2 piece Reich cockade on right side of helmet. Mortarboard covered with red officer style Rabatte that is firmly fixed to the corners of the mortarboard. Officer style Prussian bullion with black center field badge.
Joined behind the field badge is a full white and black yak hair parade plume. Circling the Rabatte are the silver bullion Parade Cords making this ensemble a complete parade set. Beautiful set that is rarely seen in today’s Imperial German helmet market. Outstanding all original ensemble.
