Helmet was found in a barn in Germany and still has some of the dust inside lining! Gilt frontplate secured by split brads. No other holes. Tall metal spike om crossbase that does not unscrew. 3 star retainers. Base of spike shows traces of old solder (see pictures).
Convex set of brass/gilt chinscales over Officers Cockades (Reichs and Bavarian) maintained by rosettes. Square front visor with brass trim. Both visor lined red and green in absolute perfect condition (rear visor slightly bent inside but easily fixed on a form). Inside lining in MINT condition with both Sweat lining and silk untouched. Helmets show some age but can easily be given a new life. We will leave that to teh new owner if he/she wisches. As for us...we left it as found!
