An impressive wartime Officer helmet and hat group

Baden Infantry Officer Wartime Ensemble for Line Regiments that includes Officer Pickelhaube M1897 and field gray Officer visor hat. Helmet is wartime metal construction. Both items in untouched condition. Found together in an estate in Germany.

Helmet is black lacquered fiber helmet body with wartime metal trim that now looks all gray. All trim totally matching in quality and condition . Helmet body has excellent form with firm stitching. Exterior lacquer has a fine softly muted finish. Frontplate is the Baden Line Regiments Griffen. No extra holes in helmet body. The spike base is round with stars at base. Spike also unscrews at top. Interior sweat leather in tan calfskin with beautiful brown silk headliner that shows minimal use. Inner visors colored red and green. Edge of back visor slightly damaged (see photo). Flat chinscales on rosettes. Officer Style 2-piece Reich and Baden non-serrated cockades.

Field Gray officer visor soft hat with red band and trim that is in good condition but misshaped (we have placed a platic band inside to keep its shape) with white silk headliner. Hat has black Officer leather chin band. Reichs and Baden Officer cockades. No visible nothing. An impressive wartime Officer helmet and hat group. Rare to find in such excellent condition.
