Prussian Pioneer Enlisted Pickelhaube

Prussian Line Pioneer Battalion Enlisted Man Model 1895. Black leather helmet body with German Silver metal fittings. Leather helmet has excellent form and firm stitching. Superior leather finish and shows age but has no damage and minimal lacquer loss (see pictures). The helmet interior is the black leather EM style that has rubbed areas on inside left side and one tab torn (see photos) but otherwise complete.

Inside the left back panel is ink marked 'P.B. 23" and a handwritten name on the right panel. Inside the helmet bell the helmet is ink marked "P.B. 24". The front plate is the Prussian line eagle in silver. Spike top is the standard EM pattern that does not untwist. Original leather chinstrap on M91 side lugs. Original Reichs and Prussian EM cockades. Excellent pre-war all silver Pioneer enlisted man helmet. Excellent example.
