Prussian Model 1916 "Wartime Manufacture" Infantry Officer Pickelhaube

Prussian Infantry Reserve Officer Model 1897/1916. The helmet is the standard black lacquered leather helmet body with all gilt metal trim. Helmet body in excellent condition with firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is shiny in near MImnt condition. Enlarged holes in helmet body. Interior has sweat leather and silk headliner.  Lining is slightly dirty to one end (see picture), otherwise impeccable near Mint!

Inner visors red and green as is normal for officer helmets.  The frontplate for the helmet is the Line Prussian Eagle fixed to the helmet shell with screws/nuts. The helmet has a Standard Officer spike base with a smooth spike that unscrews.  The base is  secured to the helmet body with 4 split brads stars. Model 1916 Flat gilt chinscales mounted on special officers posts. Officer Reichs and Prussian cockades of the M1916 type as well. Very nice helmet at a reasonable price in pristine condition.
