Prussian - Hanoverian "Waterloo" Infantry Officer Pickelhaube

Prussian/Hanoverian “Waterloo” Infantry Regiments  Officer Model 1899. Fine officer helmet from the old New England collection. Black lacquered leather helmet with gilded brass trim. Helmet body in very fine form with firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is lightly crazed with age but no lacquer loss. No extra holes in the helmet body.  

All metal trim has a lightly age oxidized color. Interior has sweat leather and silk headliner. The helmet from plate is the Line Prussian Eagle with added the banner “Waterloo” for their service at the great battle. The Eagle is held to the helmet body with screws. Gilded brass spike and base with star retainers. Flat chinscales on rosettes with Reichs and Prussian officer cockades. The helmet has not been cleaned or polished..Beautiful helmet with fantastic Provenance.
