Bavarian Train Abteilung Reserve Officer Model 1897. Black lacquered leather helmet body with fine fire gilded brass metal trim. The helmer body has perfect form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer in near perfect condition. The helmet body has no extra holes. Interior has near mint sweat leather and light color silk head liner. The helmet body is traditional Bavarian squared front visor with cross spike base. The cross base is full over with ornamented base and large star retainers. Mounted on the spike base is a Bavarian style fluted plume trichter that supports a full black yak hair parade plume. The front plate is the classic Bavarian coat of arms with a Bavarian style Landwehr cross in the center. rounded chinscales (Proper for Train) on rosettes.
