Prussian Ersatz Black Lacquered Metal Helmet

Black lacquered metal helmet body of the later "ersatz" type. Body in good condition with its original lacquer finish. Some minor dents and rust spots as usual (please see pictures). Brass trim with the original M1891 posts specific to this model only. Brass spike also unique to this model with its "fake" rounded brads.

Brass eagle of that has the unique fixture in its center held by a wooden pin. Helmet has only a small remaining piece of liner, no strap or cockade. A rare helmet that is 100% original (including lacquer) but could use some TLC.
