Bavarian Chevau-Leger Officer Pickelhaube to Parade

Bavarian Line 1,3,5 or 7 Chevauxleger Officer Model 1886-97 with white parade plume. Black lacquered leather helmet body with fire gilded metal trim . The helmet body is excellent condition and firm stitching. The exterior finish is very fine. The interior of the helmet has sweat leather and white silk headliner. The silk liner appears to be a replacement. Inner visors colored red and green.

No extra holes in the helmet body BUT one hole slightly widened (see photos). Proper Bavarian style Officers cross base maintained by 3 stars. Tall fluted Bavarian style trichter that unscrews and is topped by beautiful white Yak hair parade bush. Fine larged sized Bavarian frontplate secured to the helmet with screws. Gold convex officer chinscales maintained by rosettes. Both Reichs and Bavarian (wartime non-enameled) Officer Cockades. This is a beautiful helmet in very fine condition. Wonderful helmet to display in any collection.
