Baden Line Infantry Officer Pickelhaube

Baden Infantry Officer - Model 1897. From a distinguished US Collection. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded brass trim. The helmet body has nice form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is uneven with mild crazing due to age. No extra holes in the helmet body. The interior has officer quality soft leather headliner and non-ribbed silk headliner. Interior visors are lined with Green and Red for Officers. The fire gilded trim is officer quality and matches 100%. The spike base has the officer pearl ring and 0fficer spike. The base is held to helmet body with brass/gilt stars retainers that are screwed. The frontplate is the gilded Baden Griffin that has screw back retainers. Flat gilt chinscales on rosettes. Officer style 2 piece Reichs cockade and furled non-serrated Baden cockade. The helmet is nicely "salty" and is a great souvenir of World war 1.
