Prussian Line Kurassier "Fahnrich-Officer Aspirant" helmet Model 1894. Another "Out of the Woodwork" find in Europe. Untouched and All original helmet. Officer Style steel and nickeled helmet body with gilded brass trim. Exterior metal finish in near perfect condition with 100 years of soft patina. No rusting on the helmet exterior. No extra holes in the helmet body.
Standard square visor helmet body. The frontplate is a standard Prussian Line Eagle that is gilded. Football shaped brass spike base with smooth nickeled spike. Rounded chinscales on simple rosettes held to body with screw retainers. Prussian cockade is the large kurassier style, the "reichs" Cockade is a modern replacement. The interior of the helmet is all officer quality. Leather sweat liner with silk headliner. The back visor lined with beautiful black velvet. The front visor has dark green lacquer.
We have carefully removed the frontplate to see the BEAUTIFUL bright nickel finish beneath the plate. Amazing helmet and rare untouched find.
This helmet is all original and has not been cleaned in any way. The purchaser can choose to leave it 'as is' or clean it back to a fantastic bright finish as it appeared when it was first used.
