Prussian Garde Infantry Enlisted Einjahrfreiwiliger Pickelhaube
Named to owner. UNTOUCHED!
Black Leather helmet body in excellent condition with only minor crazing to bell. Lacquer is near perfect and lost its sheen. We did not touch it or clean it. It is left as found. A true attic piece out of northen Germany. Firm stitching to both visors. Gold trim with beautiful large winged Garde Eagle in it center the silver star of Black Eagle Order Plate is fixed to helmet with the original leatrher wedges. We did not touch them either. Plate fits helmet perfecly. No extra holes.
Round spike base maintained by four split brads. Brass spike that untwists as it should to adapt a Parade Trichter/Plume. Brass back spine with proper ventilation slide. Both Cockade (Reichs and Prussian) are present along with the original leather strap - a seldom occasion on its own. Liner is the black dyed type of pre-war manufacture size "55 1/2" with some tongs missing (probably mousse food). The helmets also has the name tag of the wearer inside "Ein. Frew. Gefreiter Wischmann". A very nice exemple in near mint condition.
