Oldenburg 19th Dragoon NCO Pickelhaube

Oldenburg 19th Dragoon Regiment - NCO - Model 1895. Custom made officer quality private purchase helmet. Beautiful black lacquered leather helmet body with German Silver metal trim. Square cut front visor leather helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. Interior has leather sweatband and brown silk headliner. Interior visor are not colored. Silver cross spike base with regulation pearlring maintained by 4 round/split brads.

The frontplate is the Prussian line dragoon eagle with the coat of arms of Oldenburg affixed on a golden star on the eagle’s chest. The frontplate us mounted to helmet with screws. Crossed spike base mounted to helmet with round studs. Smooth spike that is the proper pattern for Dragoons (see picture). Silver dragoon back spine that was specific to these units. Rounded gold chinscales on silver rosettes. NCO style stamped Reichs and Oldenburg cockades. Beautiful Officer quality rare Oldenburg NCO helmet.
