Hessen 115th Leib-Infantry Senior NCO/Officer Pickelhaube

Black lacquered leather in clopse to Mint condition. Silver trim that was left untouched/uncleaned as found. The frontplate is the Hessen Leib Garde Silver Lion with the double set of oak and laurel leaves. In the center the silver star of the Ludwig Order "Gott Ehre Vaterland". Plate and Star 100% original and mounted on helmet by screws and nuts. No extra sets of holes. Over the plate the silver commemoration bandeau with "1621" fixed to helmet wit two split brads...also untouched (see photos).

Hessen style cross base mounted with silver brads with nuts and washers. A Hessen type fluted silver spike - that unscrews- completes the top of the helmet. A silver spine - also of the special Hessen design - protects the back part of the helmet. Front and back visor with firm stitching lined respectively with green and red linen. Silver flat chinscales mounted on rosettes over an Officers Reichs and Hessen Coloured Cockades

The Inside lining in calfskin and silk remains in MINT condition. 100% original to period garanteed. A Rare unit in pristine condition. Hard to upgrade.
