Bavarian 1st Uhlan Regt. Officers Tschapka.
Beautiful - 100% original
Bavarian 1st Uhlan Regiment Officer Model 1897 - stationed in Bamberg. Beautiful black lacquered leather helmet with fire gilt trim. Helmet body has good form and firm stitching. Elegant and slender wrapped leather base to mortar board top. Exterior lacquer finish is near mint (see pictures). Stitching is tight. Interior of front visor lined with green "basane". Interior has the "fancy" sweat leather lining from "Awes Marke" and green silk headliner in excellent condition overall. Mortar board in perfect shape, just slightly sunken at base. Head form will fix that.
No extra holes in helmet body. Finely Gilt Bavarian frontplate with the "in Treue Fest" bandeau. Original Officer Rabatte in "Karmesin Rot" -or Crimson Red- that fits it like a glove with the bulion bavarian colors on the edges. Rounded gilt chinscales on rosettes. Single officers Reichs cockade. Complete with Officer bullion field badge with the blue velvet center. Everything in near pristine condition. A beautiful Uhlan helmet ensemble that is seldom seen in today's marketplace.
