Prussian Garde Fusilier Enlisted Pickelhaube with Parade Haarbush

Prussian Guard Fusilier Pioneer or Eisenbahn Enlisted style spiked helmet Model 1895. Black lacquered leather helmet body with German silver metal trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is in excellent to near mint shape. No extra holes in the helmet body. The interior of the helmet has a black leather headliner. The leather liner is complete and supple. The inner visors are plain leather with no legible marks noted.

The front plate is a German Silver Prussian wide winged Garde Eagle with Garde Star on the eagle's chest. Frontplate held to body with original wedge retainers. Enlisted style trichter and base with original black horsehair plume (Haarbush). Spike base held into place with round domed retainers. Leather chinstrap is a later replacement.
