Rare Ensemble with Pickelhaube of Garde Grenadier Möller

Ensemble grouping for a career soldier Hermann Moeller who served in the 1st Company of the Prussian 2nd Guard Regiment of Foot – in the 1880’s and 1890’s.
The grouping includes:
M1870 Guard EM helmet with spike and white parade plume. The helmet has Moeller’s personal label inside.
Shooting Prize beer stein dated 1893 and awarded to Moeller
Large framed “Soldatenleben” document named to Moeller
Prussian 2nd Guard Regiment of Foot-1st Company EM helmet – Model 1870. Black leather helmet body with brass trim. Leather helmet body in excellent condition with firm stitching. The exterior lacquer in very good condition with a bright finish and no lacquer loss. The helmet body has not extra holes. The helmet interior has standard black EM style leather tongued liner. The liner is in excellent condition but shows use. Inner visors are plain leather. Round spike base with round stud retainers. The spike is removable. Included in the group is the original white horsehair plume and trichter.

The frontplate is the Prussian Guard Eagle with silver Guard star in the center. Flat brass chinscales with old style screw brass rosettes. Original Reichs and Prussian cockades. Absolutely 100% original helmet and grouping from the Moeller Family.
The clear glass beer stein with fancy pewter top was the shooting prize awarded to Moeller on August 4, 1893. The large framed behind glass is Hermann Mueller’s “Soldiers Life” document has Hermann Moeller’s colored photograph along with his regimental information. Description written by the family on back.
