Prince Alfons of Bavaria - Field Blouse M1915 and Trousers Royal Bavarian 7th Chevau-légers Regiment
Litewka and Pants M1915 from the Royal Bavarian 7th Chevau-légers Regiment, Straubing, circa 1917/18. Worn by Prince Alfons of Bavaria as General of Cavalry and Colonel-in-Chief of the 7th Chevau-légers Regiment "Prince Alfons"!
Field blouse M1915 made of lightweight fabric. With steel-green collar patches and white piping. Features the "Aschinger" braid. Patches machine-stitched. Complete with all original sewn-on buttons. Emphasis as a General of Cavalry, but with a white backing in the style of the regiment's own uniform. Blue stitching. Very nice patina. Contemporary loops for a pin-on medal and for a long medal bar. Label from the Munich tailor "Christian Schwarz & Sohn" as "Royal Bavarian Purveyor to the Court" Dated May 27, 1918, addressed to "Royal Highness Prince Alfons" in black ink. Brown silk lining with some minor damage. Signs of age and wear.
Field-gray trousers with white piping. Label from the Munich tailor "Christian Schwarz & Sohn" as "Royal Bavarian Purveyor to the Court." Also included is a name label from the same tailor, dated November 19, 1918, addressed to "His Royal Highness Prince Alfons of Bavaria" in black ink. Silk lining. Moth damage (see photos) and some repair stitching. All buttons are present. Waist: 114 cm. Length: 115 cm.
