Saxon Model 1915 Enlisted Infantry Pickelhaube

Excellent Wartime example

Saxon Line Infantry Regiments field gray Enlisted Man Model 1915. Black lacquered leather body with field gray metal trim. Body overall in excellent condition and firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. The inside leather liner is the undyed and remains near mint (see pics). The helmet has faint markings the maker "Wunderlich in Berlin" and dated "1915" inside as it was problably unissued and used in the war bond drive (see picture at end of listing) - Pictures not included in the sale.

Standard Wartime field gray trim with removable M1915 spike top. Base retained by 4 round brads. The frontplate in the Saxon Star with the Crest in its center. The frontplate held to helmet body with original leather wedges. Original Saxon style non-serrated EM Cockades under a M91 side lugs (Saxon cockade with only remains of color). Original leather chinstrap with some wear and lacquer loss. Excellent example of a Wartime Saxon EM helmet in near mint condition.
