Prussian Leib-Garde Hussar "Private Purchase" Pelisse - Named

Leib Garde Hussar Pelzattila (Pelisse) - Hussar pelisse composed of heavy, tightly woven, dark blue wool decorated with flat bright yellow braid to the five chest rows of 'frogging', rear trim, shoulder straps, lower center Hungarian knots and clover-leaf cuff knots. A long yellow wool securing rope emanates from the collar. Black wool accents the collar, cuffs, rear skirt, bottom hem and front seam opening. Each row of chest frogging features two brass rosettes at each end and a center brass lozenge-shaped fastening toggle (note one Toggle missing). Cream colored wool lining features the property tag of the original wearer, 'Hußar Backhaus' "5.Esc. L.-Garde-Hus. Regt. Waffen-Nr. 54".
