Officer Fangschnur -State Unknown- Possibly Hannover
Original Fangschnur - Any insight welcome.
Officers Fangschnur for parade dress on the uhlan Tschapka. It was primarily a ceremonial accessory, used during parades, formal events, and other occasions where full dress uniforms were required. Adding a touch of elegance and distinction to the officer's uniform. It symbolizes the officer’s rank and unit within the cavalry. FangSchnur is 100% original to period.
Made in Silver Bullion interlaced with no other colors. The end of the cords are decorated with elaborated knots and the GOLD/YELLOW color in bullion inside the tassels. We could not find any documentation on this schnur, any insight from collectors are welcome. We can only assume a variant "unofficial" for the 13th Uhlan of Hannover who kept the yellow bullion for Epaulettes or Other uniform distinctions. Overall condition near mint with some darkened tarnish areas to the silver but no damage or fraying.
