Prussian / Hanoverian Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian - Hannoverian Officers M1897/99 helmet from the 74, 77, 78, 164 and 165 Regiments. Black lacquered leather helmet with gilded brass trim. The helmet body is in excellent to near mint condition with firm stitching . The interior has officer sweat leather and silk headliner in excellent overall condition.  

Interior visors colored red and green as is customary in officer helmets. No extra holes in the helmet body. The frontplate was the Prussian Line Eagle with the bandeau "Waterloo" for service in English King Georges "Kings German Legion" during the Napoleonic Wars. Gilt officer style spike and base with star retainers. Flat chinscales on gilt rosettes. Reich and Prussian Officer cockades. Rare Hannoverian helmet that was awarded the "Waterloo" banner in 1899. Hard to upgrade.
