Prussian Garde Uhlan Enlisted Tschapka Model 1915

Prussian Guard Uhlan Regiment Enlisted Mans Tschapka Model 1915. Black lacquered leather body, round front visor, black enameled M1915 removable mortar board and field gray trim. The helmet has excellent form and firm stitching with proper turned down front visor. Exterior lacquer is in good condition and still has nice sheen. The helmet interior has a non-dyed flat tabbed leather headliner. Lining that has minimal wear and is complete.

Black metal mortar board is the wartime form that can have the mortarboard that can be removed from the helmet body. Leather and wood top knot for cord placement.  Front plate is the Uhlan sized Prussian Guards Eagle with a field gray Guard star which is rarely seen on M1915 helmets. No extra holes in the helmet body. There are no regimental markings found. M1891 field gray side posts with original leather chinstrap and original Reichs cockade.  Original black and white cloth Prussian field badge. Fine WWI era Tschapka for an Elite Regiment.
