Hanoverian "Kings Uhlan Regiment"

Hannover “Kings Uhlan” 13th Uhlan Regiment (1st Hannoverian) Officer or Officer Aspirant - Model 1900. From the Rich Ames Collection. Black leather officer style helmet and mortar board with silver metal trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. Officer style sweat leather a silk headliner which is in excellent condition. The frontplate is the Uhlan style Guards Eagle with the banners “Peninsula - Waterloo - Garza Hernandez” that commemorates the regiments service in the British “Kings German Legion” during the Napoleonic Wars.

The eagle is also mounted with a flat enameled Prussian Guards Star. The crown on top of the Eagles head is pierced as is proper for officer. Rounded gold chinscales on rosettes. Reich Officer cockade on the right side under the rosette. Prussian silver bullion cord and black cloth center Field Badge. On the right side of the mortar board are mounted silver bullion with black flecking parade cords. The cords are secured on top with an officer style silver hook and is wrapped around base of mortar board. No rabatte. The helmet has not been cleaned or polished. This is a very attractive and rare regimental Uhlan helmet.
