Bavarian Leib Infantry or Pioneer Enlisted Pickelhaube

Bavarian Leib Infantry Regiment or Pioneer Battalion Enlisted Man Model 1896. Black lacquered leather helmet body with bright German Silver trim. The helmet body in excellent condition with beautiful exterior lacquer. Back visor stitching slightly loose on on side (see pics). The helmet interior has black dyed leather liner and plain interior visors. No markings noted. No extra holes the helmet body. The metal trim is in near perfect condition and has never been cleaned. The frontplate is the silver Bavarian coat of arms that is held to the helmet body with original leather wedges. Complete with original leather chinstrap strap and Bavarian original cockade, note that Reichs Cockade was touched over with paint. Very nice in excellent condition helmet.
