Prussian Infantry Enlisted Man for Line Regiments. Out of the woodwork find. Green pressed felt helmet body with brass trim. Helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. Exterior felt in excellent shape with no tears or damage. No extra holes in the helmet body. The frontplate is the Prussian Line Regiments eagle, held by the two original leather wedges.
The eagle fits the helmet shell like a glove. Enlisted style infantry ball top. Round base with split brad retainers. The interior has a thin brown leather lining with 10 flaps that is all original and in mint condition. Lining is makers Stamped by "Silles Bruno"? and dated "1915". Original leather chinstrap along with a set of enlisted Reich and Prussian cockades. Fine example of a wartime felt ersatz helmet.
