Anhalt 93rd Infantry Regiment Enlisted Man Model 1895. Extremely Rare and fine untouched marked EM helmet. We feel that this is an early war Ersatz type helmet and a type that is commonly seen.  Black lacquered leather helmet with brass trim. Helmet body in excellent shape with firm stitching. Exterior lacquer has soft age dullness to the finish but no lacquer loss but remains in excellent condition. All metal trim has the same oxidized brass color. On the back visor is stamped in white lettering “J.R. 93” and “1914” (see photos).  The helmet from plate is the Line Prussian Eagle with the banner “Mit Gott fur Fuerst und Vaterland” with the silver star on which is mount the crest of the state of Anhalt (see photos). The helmet plate is 100% original. The Eagle is held to the helmet body with original leather wedges. Brass spike and base with domed retainers.
