Rare Model with Ersatz Material Visors

Oldenburg 91st Infantry Regiment Model 1915. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gray trim. Helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Note that front visor shows signs of a later re-stitch but well done. No extra holes in helmet body. Maker marked inside by "Maury in Offenbach 1915". Exterior lacquer is near perfect, with mirror finish. Interior has EM style black leather headliner that is in in excellent condition.

Matching set of plain front and back visors respectively that are made of some ersatz material such as black painted cardboard. Rare variant! Note that the back visor is missing a small part of the fragile cardboard edge (see photos).

The frontplate is the Prussian Line Eagle in Grey with a matching color star and the arms of Oldenburg on the Eagles' breast. Plate mounted with the reular loops and original leather wedges. The Oldenburg Star is mounted to the frontplate with 2 screws. Model 1915 EM spike and base with domed retainers. Leather EM style chinstrap on M91 side lugs. EM style Oldenburg (Blue with Red band) and Reichs Cockades. Very attractive rare wartime variant helmet. Overall in excellent condition.
