Prussian 1,2 or 3rd Uhlan Regiment Officer Tschapka about 1900. Elegantly made high quality helmet from a European Collection. The helmet has perfect form and firm stitching. Extremely fine all leather helmet body with tall throated mortar board. Complete with silver hook for retention of officer cords. Fine exterior lacquer that is bright and in flawless condition. No extra holes in helmet body.
The Frontplate is a beautiful Prussian Officer "Old Regiment" style "FWR" fire gilt eagle fixed by two screws/nuts. Interior has unique and elegant circular "ALL quilted" silk headliner (see photos) that we have never seen prior! Rounded gilded chinscales on rosettes. The right side has a single Reichs cockade and a beautiful silver bullion with black center officer style field badge. This is a beautiful and all original officer helmet from an Elite Prussian Uhlan regiment.
